Spotty Outlet. Not providing enough amps?

So we've got an outlet in our living room that's acting really, really strange. A few weeks ago our lamp started flickering a little but. Nothing much, just a little now and then. Next, the outlet wouldn't power our laptops. I realized though, as soon as I turned on the lamp, the outlet would immediately provide power to our laptops. It's like the lamp completed the circuit or something. Now, it's like, completely dead, and can't power either. It provides just enough power to turn on the little led on the power brick for a few moments, then fizzle out. I'm baffled. Besides one-line answers telling me to be safe and call the electrician, any tips or ideas what's wrong?

How we have water 24/7, can go out and buy food whenever we want, and can get knew clothing whenever? And you know how people are all like "oh my, our house is so tiny, shouldn't we move?" Well to compared to people in Haiti and Zimbabwe and all, wouldn't a tiny studio apartment with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom be amazing to them? And maybe a 2 or 3 bedroom with 1-3 bathrooms be like a mansion to them? And these teenagers getting cell phones which their parents pay for like $130 a month on a family plan? Apparently I have messed up something while installing a new anti-virus software while remnants of another one was still on my computer. I was trying to download Adobe Flash Player and it says it has downloaded but the computer apparently does not recognize that it has. I called for istance and was told I needed to have the computer reconfigured and it would cost $60.00. The person I was talking to have a very thick Indian accent and it was very hard to understand him. I wasn't sure if going through the process with him would be smooth because I'm not that computer literate in the first place. The computer that I have is about 4 years old and is in very great condition. There's not a whole lot of stuff on it and it's connected to the internet with a broadband connection. Will this be my only option is to have this done over the phone or am I able to handle it another way? Please help. Thanks!

I take sertraline for depression...I really think that I'm adhd but my doctor is hesitant in prescribing an adhd medicine I think because I am in college and adderral is really abused by students. I swear I have it and I am going to see a psychiatrist probably for guidance on other things and including my concern about this. As far as my own diagnosis for adhd I am a huge procrastinator(like not just the normal amount) I can sit down telling myself I am going to start homework or just any task and I get sidetracked sooo easily it seems to take me hours to do something that should take a half hour. Also I talk really fast when I have a thought and I sort of interrupt people a lot. I am also really forgetful about small things like why I went downstairs or something I was supposed to do. I also feel the need to walk around or circle things and sometime I find myself just circling our kitchen island and don't notice until I finish a train of thought or something and sometimes if i'm sitting down ill just feel the need to get up and walk around for no apparent reason. I have a hard time paying attention in cl and school I also think it contributes to my depression because i try very hard in school and really do care about my future but my results do not reflect the effort i put in. How do I take care of this baby turtle?!?

I have recently aquired a baby turtle from a little local fair. I really was not looking for it, but I felt so sorry for the poor thing in an aquarium with just water and about 50 other baby turtles. I know little about caring for it, or even what it needs. I've gotten an aquarium for it already, with a heating lamp, all water with a plank that comes from the bottom to the top, which holds via suction cup. I put the heating lamp above the dry area (the plank) and littered the bottom with fish gravel. I also threw a couple rocks in the tank. When I first got him in a tiny plastic cage, I threw him some fresh lettuce, but i'm not sure if he's touched it at all. I got some stuff from petco for the water, which helps clean it apperantly, and I also bought baby turtle food, but he doesnt seem to be eating it. He/she/it seems to be very shy, and often hides when I come into the room. What can I do to get this thing to eat?! Also, is there anything else I can give it to make its place better?

Wisdom tooth extraction and dry socket? What is the risk?

First you need to understand a little of what the term "dry socket" means. It's not referring to the hole left in your gums, which is what most folks think. Teeth are specialized extensions of the jawbone, and if you had a tooth in place long enough to develop roots, removing it left a big tooth size hole in the jawbone. That's the socket part they are refering to. When the tooth is removed and that socket hole is created, the bone reacts by forming a blood clot to seal it all off. That prevents the bone itself from losing fluid and dehydrating- the "dry" part of the equation. To get a dry socket, you'd have to first have a tooth rooted in the bone. From the sounds of it, you may not have done. Sutures are used when there is a lot of damage done to both gum and jawbone in the removal process, though some dentists use them fairly routinely to help prevent a dry socket developing. With a suture in place, your odds are nearly zero. However, since you had an abscess, sutures are not a great idea either- and may be why your dentist opted not to use one. Since I can't see the pre-op x-ray, and you don't likely know, it's hard to guess which is the reason. If you had the teeth for more than a few months though, you probably did have roots, and didn't get sutured because of the infection. A dry socket is the greatest risk to develop starting about your third day post removal. It will begin as a dull ache in the bone beneath where the tooth used to be, and progressively get worse. It will get to a point where Motrin just won't cut it. For temporary relief, make a hot cup of tea and save the bag. Dunk it until the actual "tea" liquid turns pretty much clear, and then put the warm teabag on the extraction site, and chomp down lightly. Get a swallow of the tea itself and pool that it the cheekpocket on the sore side as well. The tannic acid helps shrink things down and gives some relief. Then you need to see the dentist for the special packing material to solve the problem permanently. In most cases if you follow the aftercare instructions about smoking, and avoiding fizzy drinks, you don't have a problem. Be sure to keep up with the oral care though, using a toddler size toothbrush for the brushwork, which will let you avoid the tender site and still get the rest of the teeth clean. Also, when you do the rinse after eating, don't get too aggressive with the swish or spit part. Instead of doing a pucker type spit with any force, you basically open your mouth over the sink and let gravity take over. Or just swallow the liquid instead. Since you aren't having any real pain to speak of, you have a great chance of healing up just fine without any problems coming up, specifically a dry socket. It is true, as a rule, that the easier the extraction goes the easier and faster healing goes. It means not much damage was done to mouth tissues, so not as much has to be healed. Common sense, really, when you think about it. Most people actually don't get a dry socket either, although from what you read here you might think otherwise. When it comes to wisdom teeth, what counts is how long you've had them, if they are impacted or infected, and how easy the process to remove them was. In your case, it sounds like it was pretty straightforward, so I'd expect your healing to be as well. Just mind the jawbone itself, and if you happen to notice the dull ache start, get to the dentist as soon as possible. The only other thing you can do to somewhat hasten healing is to drink the warm liquids and pool them in the cheeks for a bit. That increases blood supply, and all those supplies needed to heal. Good luck, sounds like you are doing well.

it hurts.... I know. Beleive me I do know.....but as cliche as it sounds.... time really does heal all wounds. Car accident - Can I claim?

I had a car accident few days ago, due to which my car was written off.What happened ... I stopped at the traffic lights as I caught red. As soon as I got green, I slowly proceeded to the middle of the junction, indicating to the right (onto the side road where I was heading to). Not only I broke my ankle and I am out of work for so long ... Not only I 'lost' my car... Not only I am having nightmares about the whole thing... Not only my Insurance isn't paying for my car repair... Not only it cost me �310 for 2 days to store my car in a compound, where it was taken on the day of the accident, ... my dad talks to himself all day or whenever hes not asked anything from real people. hes 68 and is very critical and angry with the world and expresses this when he is talking to himself. the trouble is he is very vocal and doesn't seem to notice when people are watching, for instance when my kids are asking him something or when my partner walked past his bedroom door and notice him threatening his make believe friend or foe. if you snap him out of it he gets quite aggressive and snappy especially with my mum. he lives in his imaginary world more than the real world. has he lost it? he wont see anybody about it as i think a) he does not know hes always doing it and b) the embarrment. im just curious if it is medical. i know he wont go to docs. its a shame as he used to do when i was younger but not as much im 32 now and he hardly talks to anybody else but himself. we have had some family crisis with losing two kids to cot death and two kids in care has he never got over that?

There actually not just thoughts considering I have attempted a few and if I wasn't so chicken I would be dead now. I'm 14, 15 next week. Honestly I don't know why I have them.. I've just always had them since about the time I was 10. My first attempt I was 10 and I jumped off the roof. I was fine, but a little pissed. I think it has to do with the problems with my mom and sisters. They all hate me (seriously. no exaggeration). She's sure to tell me this everyday, and I've always felt that one of these days she's going to kill me. She has hit me a few times, but not a lot. It's mostly just because she threatens to kill me, which I reeeeally was scared for my live last month when she put her hands around my throat and around 6 today she threw a bat at my head. I guess it's because I want to kill myself before she does? Idk. Sometimes I just want to kill her but I think about all the nice things she has done for me. My last attempt was swallowing ammonia. Potential cure for cancer?

Aspirin only helps minimally due to its anti-inflammatory effects, but I've heard that stem cells have huge potential for treating or even curing some cancers. I had a friend working on a cure for cancer using stem cells at a Johns Hopkins lab, but he was killed in a mugging last year. The research is still going strong though, so sometime in the future we should see much better treatments. I don't know much else on the topic, but I know that it's being worked on and has really good potential.

I'm looking for parents of a child that is the product of a 2 vessel pregnancy. Can you share your experience?

Well, I personally haven't experienced it, but I have a friend that has a 3 year old that only had the two vessels. She was high risk and had to be seen every other week, but her little boy is doing just fine. He's a healthy, happy little guy and nothing is wrong with him! I think as long as they keep a good eye on your wife, everything should go well. The only down side was that my friend ended up having to have a c-section, which I hope your wife doesn't have to go through. Good luck to you and your baby! And congrats!

What do you think about my horses condition?

this morning we found my horse with what seems to be a swollen vain or possibly tendon on the left side of his chest and running down his left leg. This was causing him pain and he was unable to move freely. The local vet has been very busy today so he hasn't been seen to but we have spoken twice. there has been much improvement through the day and is eating and drinking. he has not done anything strenuous recently that we know of. he is a strong 7 year old TB gelding. has anyone heard of this condition.

Appendectomy - Post surgery recovery?

My ex had to have emergency surgery to remove her appendix. She was sore for a few days and then back to "normal" before a week. There are mainly 2 different surgeries...one the surgeon makes small inscisions and uses a tiny camera to aid him. The other is more direct but also causes more damage and longer healing periods. That's when they just go it and remove it. My ex had the first surgery performed as do most people these days. :)

Weird Dream, and I need some sort of ysis!?

So this morning I woke up after REM sleep and realized I had one of the most confusing dreams I have ever had. I was walking around and I felt that the bottom of my foot was burning, I decided to look down and I discovered that there was a small round object below the skin moving around, and it was physically painful! I decided that I had to get it checked out, and in the process found out that It was some sort of infection and that i was going to die apparently in a few weeks. I decided to take matters in my own hands, and cut it open to take it out because it would not stop burning, and found out later that it was nothing like what i thought, i pulled out inanimate sticks and stones. For the next two weeks it didn't bleed, it leaked like a faucet...Now i have had weird dreams, but this one i cannot decipher -any help please!

Why are spanish people referred to as "Latino"?

I often hear Spanish people referred to as "Latino" or from "Latin America". This makes no sense to me, since "Latin" is the basis for all romance languages, i.e French, Italian, Spanish, Portugese, etc, not just Spanish alone. "Latin America" doesn't really exist, since the areas that adopted the Spanish language were colonized and explored by Spain or Portugal (i.e modern day Brazil), so I think that should be called "Mes of Land formerly colonized by Spain or Portugal". Can I fix the lid switch on my washer or do I need to replace?

Whirlpool Estate washer stops at the spin cycle and wont drain. After researching, I tried sticking a screwdriver in the lid switch hole and it finally worked and drained the water. Stops if I take the screwdriver out though. I took the cabinet off and the switch doesn't feel loose. Can I just fix it somehow or do I need to replace it?

My daughter will be 3 weeks old tomorrow. I've been waking her during the day every 2 hrs to eat and letting her set the nighttime feedings. She had gained back her birth weight by 1 week and is wetting / dirtying the right amount of diapers. My question is should I be waking her every 2 hours or should I try to stretch it out to every 3. She's doing quite well at night, with a 4 hr stretch and then a 3 hr one which I don't want to change if it means more night waking. So what did you do with your fed baby?

What are the chances of testing hiv negative 7.5 weeks after possible exposure and still be infected?

I'm a healthy 20 yr old male. i tested negative nearly 8 weeks after but was wondering what the chances are of still being hiv infected. My guess was that the hiv antibodies would have built up by now to show up in the test. also, i didn't even have , it was just unprotected . only problem is i didnt know the girl and that was the first and last time i've ever seen her (it was at a college party). so with that said, should i be worried?

College Success cles are meant to look out for you and help you adjust to college aren't they (the ones I took were) so I would think you could talk to that teacher about problems. Try writing down what you need to say and give it to her so that you don't feel on the spot or worried you'll say the wrong thing if you just go up and try to talk. If you really can't talk to her about it, maybe your school has a counselor or someone you would like more and could talk to about this. If not, talk to your family members or even see a professional counselor who can help you overcome these problems. You will feel better, you just have to be patient and keep trying. Take care! :)

New wireless printer won't connect to network by wireless?

I have just bought a HP C7180 All-in-one printer. The main reason being that it said it was wireless. But, it will not connect wirelessly to my network. I have a Thomson/Speedtouch 580 router (from Tiscali) and I have 1 desktop and up to 3 laptops connected to it which all work fine (wireless). When I try to set up the printer using the network wizard (on the printer) it finds my network, I type in the WPA-PSK pcode, then it says it cannot connect. I have set up the printer mac code on the ACL on the router to allow the printer to connect but still no joy. I tried reducing the security level to WEP and it worked fine, however I prefer the higher security. I have now connected the printer to the router with a cable and that works but the printer is in the wrong place and the whole point was to be wireless. I have tried HP website and phone and they were useless. Nothing on the Speedtouch website either. Anyone got any advice - should I be able to do this or am I dreaming?

Well you see the neighbor was burning some trash and it sort of got out of hand and catches the other neighbors garage on fire. This is the same garage where his new John Deer tractor was. So the neighbor #2 sees his garage and new John Deer tractor on fire and he freaks out, goes in his house and comes out with a 12ga. Shotgun and shoots neighbor # 1. It doesn’t kill him it only hits him in a few places, most notably 2 buckshot that went through his left ear. They get in a fistfight, rolling around on the ground like two little boys. Neighbor # 1's wife gets a water hose to put out the fire but ended up hosing down both neighbors like two dogs making love. Neighbor # 2's wife comes running out of the house with a bucket of water but slips in the mud and pours most of the water on neighbor #1' wife. She thinks it was done on purpose and turns the hose on neighbor #2's wife. While they are all playing in the mud the garage and the new John Deer tractor burns down. This lights off a bottle of gas that looked like the best fireworks ever, only it lands behind my house and catches a gr field on fire. Finally someone in the next county sees the smoke and calls the fire dept. The fire dept. had a flat on the way to the seen and had to send there crew in on foot. So we all took shovels and rakes and other implements of destruction and put out the fire. Well you see all that smoke from the fire has ruin “Old Blue” my best coon dog. That poor old dog breathed so much smoke that when he farts he blows smoke rings and I was just wandering if I could sue somebody for that sort of thing and would you sue neighbor #1 or neighbor #2.?

Sore throat wont go away? its so annoying?

so on sunday i could feel it in my throat i was getting sick. later that night i had the chills and came down with a fever and had a headache and was dizzy. the next day i was still feeling the same way. on tuesday all my fever and headaches were gone but i still had a sore throat. i looked at my throat with a flash lights and there are two white spots in the back of my throat only on the left side, and red bumps far back on my tongue where my tongue touches the sore on my throat. wednesday, i still had it and went for a jog and it helped my throat a lot. ive been taking a lot of pain killers and throat drops and gargling with salt water everyday and i cant seem to kick it. ive been drinking a lot of fluids also. today, thursday i woke up with a stupid cold sore on my lip and bump on the roof of my mouth along with this sore throat. its not a horrible pain, because i have had a worse sore throat but it wont go away right now. can chewing tobacco relate with this? what should i do?

Let me start out by saying if your alternator is'nt puting out 12 volts your car wont run smooth plus it will have a bad miss, for as your car getting hot , you need to have the timing check out and make sure that th plug wires are on the right nipple on the distriburtor, just make sure the plug wire did'nt get crossed up or the will cause the engine to run hot and have a bad miss.
