Are atheist open minded or close minded?

I believe close minded they are afraid of the unknown. Like god, religion, and various other things involved with christianity. As soon as they see a question on hear relating to you know who. They immediately shut down don't want to listen and bring up some mumbo jumbo that has nothing to do with the question. The closest thing I can relate the modern atheist to is a child ( who throws a tantrum and pouts about god).
