Can you write an amusing paragraph or 2 or more that includes these quotes?
Charles' particular brand of insanity was insidious. He presented himself as a pitiable but brave soul, a man with a chronic illness that he struggled against in order to maintain a thriving professional career, with a hobby of writing stories for an online site. Charles' purpose was not to make friends, but to interest women who would be attracted to him because of his affliction and his stoic determination. Cynthia was a woman who was taken in. She was involved in an unhappy marriage, in which she felt that she was being given insufficient attention and affection by her husband. At first, Cynthia and Charles exchanged stories online but in time, she began secretly emailing him, becoming infatuated, and eventually agreed to meet him in person. Charles intimated to Cynthia that he, too, was involved in an unhappy marriage and suggested that they should engage in an intimate relationship. He reasoned that they would only live one life, and that life was too short to live it unhappily. "You have a point. An idiotic one, but a point." responded Cynthia. Nevertheless, they developed a friendship fueled by Cynthia's consuming urge to "fix" the world in a way she believed was correct. Later, Charles suggested to Cynthia that she should smoke marijuana with him, telling her it relieved the pain of his illness. "That happens to be your particular abnormality:" retorted Cynthia, not wanting to get involved. At times, Cynthia tried to snap Charles back to reality by pointing out that some of his ideas were skewed and unrealistic. "You're maudlin and full of self-pity," she chastised him, "but you're magnificent." Eventually, Charles exposed his true self to Cynthia. When it became clear she would not have with him, he had a friend announce that he had died of his illness. Soon, Cynthia learned that Charles was listed on an Internet site that promoted active solicitation for partners, and that he was just trying to get rid of her as a friend so he could pursue that without her being judgmental about it. After Cynthia learned that Charless was still alive, she saw him one more time. "Shucks, and I sent my autograph book to the cleaner," she told him sarcastically, referring to his sick, unfeeling performance. But there was still that side of Cynthia that felt sorry for Charles, and that wanted to "fix" him. "Heaven help me," she sighed. "I love a psychotic."
