How to get a Mac on the internet?

I have a old macintosh lc575 for experimenting with it runs os 8.1 and I want to get it online it has not Ethernet or built in modem and it is impossible to find a modem for I was wondering if I could plug it in though the parrel port and on to a machine with windows xp pro or ubuntu 8.10 to it parrel port and get the mac online if I can how can it be done I would like it to be a native connection but if that's not possible what are the apple scripts / connections script or software
