Can I fix the lid switch on my washer or do I need to replace?

Whirlpool Estate washer stops at the spin cycle and wont drain. After researching, I tried sticking a screwdriver in the lid switch hole and it finally worked and drained the water. Stops if I take the screwdriver out though. I took the cabinet off and the switch doesn't feel loose. Can I just fix it somehow or do I need to replace it?
